Royal Mail has issued a warning regarding deliveries and explained that a small number of offices will be affected by delays on Friday, November 28, due to local issues, such as high levels of sick absence or resourcing. They also announced that “in the early hours of this morning, a vehicle travelling from our Midlands Hub to the Home Counties North Mail Centre broke down en route”.

Mail due to be delivered in the AL, EN, HP, LU, SG and WD postcode areas will arrive “later than expected”. There are also two mail centres that are experiencing challenges, the DE and NG postcode areas, including Nottingham Mail Centre, and where not all mail was processed or dispatched to schedule, and will therefore “arrive behind schedule”. Royal Mail said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

Lichfield DO (WS7, WS13, WS14)

Lisburn DO (BT26-BT28)

Lochgelly DO (KY5)

Plymouth North DO (PL2, PL3)

Pontefract DO (WF7,WF8, WF9 and WF11)

Prescot DO (L34 and L35)

Uddingston DO (G71)

Washington DO (NE37-NE38)

Whitehaven DO (CA18-CA20, CA26, CA28)

Whitwood DO (WF6 and WF10)

Royal Mail assured that they will try to minimise the delay in those areas and provide targeted support to restore the service as soon as possible.
