Morrisons is helping its customers’ money stretch further this Christmas by slashing the prices on a number of meat and fish products. In the coming days, roast beef, sirloin steak, and salmon will be available for a fraction of their usual price, in a major change for the supermarket chain. This will ensure shoppers can enjoy a delicious Christmas meal all without breaking the bank.
A popular choice for Christmas dinner, Morrisons beef joints are available at over half price, at just £6.49/kg this festive season. With an average weight of 1.7kg, customers can get their hands on this classic for just £11.03 right up until Christmas Eve, so even those who leave their food shop till the last minute will still be able to opt for something more budget-friendly.
While those opting for a fishy feast this Christmas, the supermarket has whole salmon on offer at just £7.95, reduced from £16/kg until December 24.
Available on Morrisons Market Street Fish Counter, customers can have their whole salmon prepared and filleted by Morrisons expert fish mongers. More Card holders can also enjoy an extra 20% off on Fish Fridays.
For those wanting a low-effort Christmas dinner, the supermarket has recently launched a brand new luxury Christmas dinner in a box. This offers a Turkey dinner for four people, complete with all the trimmings, and ready in just one hour.
Priced at £40, so just £10 per head, this festive feast includes slow-cooked British buttermilk turkey, pork, sage and caramelised onion stuffing, streaky bacon, beef dripping potatoes, honey butter parsnips and carrots, mulled red cabbage, Morrisons The Best Signature Pigs in Blankets and a rich gravy.
Charlie Foster, Senior Trader at Morrisons, said: “We wanted to offer our customers a product that combines high quality Christmas ingredients with minimal prep and cooking fuss – our new Morrisons The Best Signature Collection Christmas dinner in a box delivers just this.
“Each box serves a generous meal and a taste of luxury despite the short cooking time – it guarantees an effortless feast so Christmas hosts can spend more time with their loved ones on the big day.”
