The professionals have developed an online Christmas dinner calculator that reportedly saves households up to two hours in the kitchen this festive season.
Research conducted by the online butchers showed that two-thirds of Brits (66%) dedicate over two hours to preparing Christmas dinner, with the typical cooking duration being 2.7 hours, reports the Daily Record.
But there’s no need to spend such long periods away from your relatives and friends or relaxing on the couch, as you can use the calculator to perfect your scheduling and maximise your leisure time.
Stevie Cheape, head chef at Campbells Meat, explained: “Cooking for your family and friends on Christmas Day can be quite stressful, with lots of moving parts the dedicated chef for the day can end up spending a lot of time in the kitchen and not around the tree.
“We have created a Christmas dinner calculator that will help families save time in the kitchen. Simply input your chosen Christmas meat, vegetables and sides, select your serving time and watch the calculator create your step-by-step timing chart.
“The Christmas timing guide states it should only take up to 1.5 hours to prepare and cook your Christmas dinner after you’ve let your meat cook for a set amount of time. So, you can place your meat in the oven and come back to finish the rest later.”
