Anyone still using Windows 10 might finally be convinced to try something new. Earlier this week, Dell announced the launch of a new XPS range of laptops, which feature a striking new look, more power and very long battery life. Now Samsung is back with a big update to its popular Galaxy Book products. The fully refreshed Galaxy Book6, Galaxy Book6 Pro and ultimate Galaxy Book6 Ultra not only get a sleek new look but also come packed with the very latest Ultra Series 3 processor from Intel.

With a 50 percent boost in performance, this will make tasks such as video editing, photo retouching and gaming feel far more fluid and faster. To make sure Samsung’s new laptops don’t get hot during those intensive workloads, the Korean firm has also introduced a new fan design and a vapour chamber, which both help to distribute heat more evenly.

Thanks to the new Intel chips, improved cooling and better efficiency, users could get as much as 30 hours of battery life before needing to charge.

Other extras include pin-sharp AMOLED touch displays, a premium design that’s built to survive life on the road and smart AI aimed at boosting productivity.

Those buying the Galaxy Book6 Ultra will also be treated to six speakers that are powered by Dolby Atmos.

These include four force-cancelling woofers and two tweeters that deliver high octaves and powerful bass for crisp and clear room-filling sound.

“At Samsung, we believe true innovation starts with getting the fundamentals right,” said Won-Joon Choi, President, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head of the R&D Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.

“Performance defines the PC experience. With the Galaxy Book6 series, we combine unparalleled speed and power with dependable AI to deliver the exceptional productivity and creativity capabilities users expect from Samsung.”

Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6 will be available in Grey or Silver and in select markets starting late January, 2026.

There’s no word on a price just yet.

• The Galaxy Book6 Ultra features a 16-inch screen

• The Galaxy Book6 Ultra is available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes

• The Galaxy Book6 is available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes
